Watch our Video and Sign Up for the Let’s Walk Workplace Walking Challenge 2021
Let’s Walk, Devon’s Biggest Workplace Walking Challenge is back for 2021 and sign up is now live.
This short video explains what the challenge is all about. Ben Evans from the Environment Agency also talks about why they are taking part in the challenge again this year.
If you are asking yourself whether to sign up, not sure it’s for you, or you think you need to be super fit to step up to the challenge, then think again!
A little change in your daily routine makes a big difference. Whether working from home or office based, as long as you work in Devon and enter as part of your work team, then this challenge is for you! Team sizes can be from 3-10 colleagues, and your workplace can have multiple teams.
The challenge encourages activity and healthier habits during the month of March and beyond. It doesn’t matter if you do not do anything at the moment. Any movement is great for your health and wellbeing. This challenge also enables you to connect with your colleagues at the same time, whether or not you are in the same location.
So, if you are someone who often sits for hours at a computer screen, wondering how you are ever going to find the time in your day to exercise, then why not team up with some colleagues and sign up. Every time you walk or actively move you can log your steps online. They are then added to your team’s steps. A combined total is created so everyone has a part to play, even if you don’t walk 10,000 steps a day.
If you would like to find out more about the challenge you can listen to Ben speak about the benefits of getting involved here.
The challenge starts on the 1st March and finished midnight on the 31st March.
