Introducing the Deaf Get Active and Volunteer Project
Living Options Devon and Active Devon have partnered together to set up the Deaf Get Active and Volunteer project. The project, funded by Sport England, aims to bridge communication and communities, inspiring everyone in Devon to volunteer, communicate and get active together.
Welcoming Deaf and Non-Deaf People
The project welcomes enthusiastic Deaf and Non-Deaf people to help get more Deaf people active.
By volunteering, you get to learn new skills, encourage others and try something new. There are lots of different volunteering roles. These include:
- Activity Champions
- Coaches/buddies
- Social media support
- Filming BSL (British Sign Language) videos
- Steering Group meeting representatives
Take a look at our ‘Active For Good‘ to find out more about the volunteering opportunities.
