Let’s Move, Devon’s Community Movement for Movement, is Back
We are delighted to announce the continuation of Let’s Move, Devon’s community movement for movement. Set to continue in January 2021, Let’s Move is an innovative user generated content (UGC) campaign, empowering the people of Devon to inspire and support each other to live more active lives.
Established in July 2020, in response to the tremendous hardships faced by Devon’s communities during the coronavirus pandemic, Let’s Move provides a digital platform for participants to share and support others in their community via the use of social media.
Encouraging shifts in behaviours towards more movement, and specifically more active travel, Let’s Move also promotes inclusion, solidarity and community cohesion. Together with the summer movement challenge in July, and the Let’s Walk workplace walking challenge in February, Let’s Move highlights three important benefits to more movement.
Together with traditional messages about the physical health and mental wellbeing impacts of being active, the campaign also shines a light on the social health and community benefits, as well as those on our shared public spaces and the environment more broadly.
