Introducing The We Are Undefeatable Campaign
We Are Undefeatable is a national campaign and movement to inspire and support people living with health conditions to be active. Featuring real-life experiences, the campaign aims to support people living with health conditions, to build physical activity into their lives, in a way that their condition allows.
The campaign and is backed by expertise, insight and significant National Lottery funding from Sport England, the organisation behind the award-winning This Girl Can campaign.
The campaign is also led by 15 of the major health and social care charities, including; Age UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Asthma UK, Breast Cancer Care, British Lung Foundation, British Red Cross, Diabetes UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Mind, MS Society, Parkinson’s UK, Rethink Mental Illness, Royal Voluntary Service, Stroke Association and Versus Arthritis.
Adding even small amounts of activity can make a significant difference, it all counts and adds up. It’s about finding out what works for you, and working around how you feel or around the unpredictability/ups and downs of your condition. For example, for some people, a short walk might be all that’s manageable one day. For others it might be swimming or getting active at home. What’s important is that any movement helps.
