Getting active in the sea or cold water is great for your health and wellbeing, but its important to stay safe, especially during the winter months. Sponsored by the Connecting Actively to Nature programme this is an opportunity to join the CHILL project for a live streamed webinar on staying safe during cold water immersion and sea swimming. We have an expert panel on hand to present and answer your questions.

Your expert panel will be:

Dr Heather Massey – fronting up the National research that CHILL is participating in in 2022 – she a researcher at the Extreme Environments Laboratory at the University of Portsmouth. who has also successfully swum the channel. She is a specialist in cold water swimming and the effects it has on the body.

Michael Morris: Event director and co founder of  Exmoor Open Water Swim, Dartmoor Open Water Swim and the Croyde Ocean Triathlon,  Founder  of CHILL: open water swimming for people with anxiety and depression,  Coastguard, Beach Lifeguard and long distance swimmer, contributor to Out Swimmer Magazine.

Jasmine Bennett: Beach Lifeguard and coach with CHILL and Wave Project.

Jack Hutchens, RNLI Lifeguard – Successful triathlete, 3 x winner of the Croyde Ocean Triathlon.
